I’ve been running since 2014 — chasing 5K times, racing half marathons, learning the hard way what training works and what doesn’t.
We kept seeing the same problem: runners following generic training templates that were never designed for them, burning out, getting injured, or simply plateauing months before their goal race.
I was lucky enough to connect with Ilya Tyapkin, a Kyrgyz Olympic marathon runner whose understanding of distance training is, simply put, on another level.
